Lou Malnati’s announces Carmel opening date
CARMEL, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Lou Malnati’s has announced an opening date for its new location in Carmel. The Chicago-based pizzeria announced plans to expand into Hamilton County earlier this year.
The pizzeria will open its doors on Oct. 19 at 4 p.m.
Lou Malnati’s says the 1,550-square-foot space will be a carryout and delivery only location, adjacent to Starbucks, and part of The Bridges mixed-use development. The new restaurant does not include a dining room but will offer curbside pick-up, no-contact delivery and drop off catering services.
The restaurant says it will hire approximately 50 local employees for the Carmel location. The company is now hiring for kitchen crew, phone staff and delivery drivers.
“While it’s been difficult during these uncertain times, Lou Malnati’s is looking forward to a new store opening,” said owner Marc Malnati. “We’re excited to open our first location in the Indianapolis area and become part of the Carmel community. We want to support the local economy and are committed to providing jobs at our restaurants.”
Malnati also said the pizzeria is planning to open a few more area locations, including a full-service restaurant in Broad Ripple to open in 2021.
