NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — A Noblesville-based medical device manufacturer has broken ground on its corporate headquarters expansion. Nexxt Spine LLC says the new space will provide expanded capabilities for surgeon training and education and double manufacturing capacity.

Nexxt Spine, which designs and manufactures products for the surgical treatment of spinal disorders, first detailed plans for expansion in November 2019. At the time, the company said it would create up to 36 jobs by the end of 2022.

The 36,000-square-foot facility will also include expanded new product development and testing laboratory capabilities, according to the company.

“Our headquarter expansion will allow us to train our surgeon and distribution partners in an extraordinary setting, and create operational efficiencies crucial to remaining competitive in the spinal implant device market. Doubling our manufacturing capabilities, and implementing state of the art distribution and logistics systems that assist with servicing our surgeon and distribution partners, allows us to meet the needs of the company’s incredible growth,” said Nexxt Spine Chief Executive Officer Andy Elsbury. “Additionally, the expansion reflects our commitment to Noblesville, Indiana and surrounding communities, as well as the wealth of technology-focused professionals from local universities who have significantly contributed to the growth and talent since 2009.”

Nexxt Spine says it plans to add up to three new regional sales managers over the next two months. The company did not provide an estimated time frame for completing the expansion.
