More drive-through COVID-19 testing sites launch
INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Drive-through COVID-19 testing sites have been established at several locations throughout the state. The Indiana State Department of Health says the clinics will be available for healthcare workers, first responders and essential workers showing symptoms of the disease.
The clinics will take place this week, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The ISDH says participants should bring state-issued identification and documentation of place of employment.
The clinics will be held at the following locations:
- CK Newsome Community Center, 100 E. Walnut St., Evansville
- Ivy Tech, 3800 N. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne
- St. Timothy Community Church, 1600 W. 25th Ave., Gary
- Ivy Tech, 8204 Hwy 311, Sellersburg
The ISDH says only symptomatic individuals will be tested and testing will be conducted as long as supplies last. Only one person per vehicle will be allowed to be tested.
As of Sunday, the ISDH says 343 Hoosiers have died of COVID-19, with nearly 8,000 testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
