New leader for Allegion Americas
CARMEL, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Dublin-based Allegion plc (NYSE: ALLE) has chosen Luis Orbegoso to lead Allegion Americas, headquartered in Carmel. Orbegoso, who has been named senior vice president of Allegion Americas, most recently served as president and chief operating officer of American Residential Services in Tennessee.
The security products and technology company says Orbegoso will be responsible for leading more than 7,000 employees throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada. He will report to Allegion Chief Executive Officer David Petratis.
“Luis brings a wealth of diverse leadership experiences spanning multiple industries, geographies and cultures and has a track record of guiding teams through transformation, with a focus on operational and customer excellence,” Petratis said in a news release. “He possesses a deep understanding of smart-home security, cloud technology, consumer access solutions, as well as commercial and institutional safety, which support our strategic priorities.”
Prior to his tenure at ARS, Orbegoso served as president of ADT Business for ADT Inc. (NYSE: ADT), as well as president of global detection and alarm businesses at UTC Climate, Controls & Security.
A spokesperson for Allegion says Orbegoso will soon relocate to the Indianapolis area from Tennessee.
