Precinmac acquires Major Tool and Machine
INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Maine-based machine component manufacturer Precinmac has acquired an Indianapolis company founded in 1946. Precinmac says the deal for Major Tool and Machine expands its capabilities and adds a seventh division to the company.
Precinmac Chief Executive Officer Eric Wisnefsky says he is impressed with how Major Tool and Machine serves the market.
“This acquisition is another step in the advancement of our multifaceted strategy to expand our business through acquisitions in all sectors of the industry base. Major Tool and Machine is a full complement to our existing portfolio,” said Wisnefsky.
Major Tool and Machine serves aerospace and defense, power generation, energy, semiconductor and oil and gas markets, along with specializing in large format machining and assembly services.
“We have built an excellent company supported by our employees and community, serving the increasing needs of our customers. The entire Major Tool team looks forward to continuing to satisfy the small format and large format needs of our current and future customers,” said Major Tool and Machine President Mike Griffith.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
