INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — A national swim school franchise is looking to expand to central Indiana. Big Blue Swim School says it plans to bring five swim schools to the greater Indianapolis area and create more than 150 jobs over the next five years.

The swim school says it is currently looking for franchise partners in the greater Indy market.

Big Blue says the new jobs will be full-time positions, which leads to lower turnover rates among employees. The company says implementing such an approach “helps maintain consistency as a child has fun and builds trust with their instructor.”

“Everything we do is focused on showing kids they can achieve anything through the magic of weekly swim lessons,” Chris DeJong, founder and president of Big Blue Swim School, said in a news release. “This mission drives every operation at Big Blue and we are interested in working with franchise partners that will deliver our mission with passion and enthusiasm.”

Big Blue was founded in 2009 currently has five locations in Chicago, one in Atlanta and 70 more in development. The company says its goal is to reach 150 locations by 2021.
