LAFAYETTE, IND (Inside INdiana Business) — Lafayette-based Wabash National Corp. (NYSE: WNC) has announced a plan to expand its national footprint in the cargo van and truck body upfitting space with a new facility in Groveport, Ohio. The company says the new location will allow for greater speed and innovation to meet needs in the areas of cold chain, home delivery and parts and service.

Wabash National says the new facility will service all brands of cargo and truck bodies and will install several products, including hitches, steel flatbed bodies, thermal solutions, liftgates and more.

“We are building a culture around speed and safety, and we want to extend that to customers who are seeking solutions to improve productivity and keep their business moving. With the support of our supplier partners, we are expanding our capabilities to provide first to final mile upfitting solutions to our customers faster and configured to their specific needs,” said Vice President of Parts and Services Nick Adler.

Adler says the company plans to hold an open house at the new facility in early 2022.
