LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. (WISH) – A death investigation is underway after skeletal remains were found in a heavily wooded area in Dearborn County, according to the Indiana State Police.
Police said they received a call Sunday about possible human remains near Lawrenceburg. Police and a forensic anthropologist team from the University of Indianapolis searched the area on Monday and Tuesday and found additional remains belonging to the same man.
Police obtained dental records to identify the remains as those of Josh Batchelor. Police said Batchelor had been the subject of a missing person case and was last seen in May 2017.
Lawrenceburg is about 30 miles west of Cincinnati.
