IPS holds community events

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) —  IPS made a few big announcements this week, starting with their teachers receiving a pay raise.

On Saturday they celebrated with a weekend cookout.

The amount teachers will receive varies depending on their current salary, but starting teachers’ salaries jump 12 percent to $40,000.

School board members also approved what they are calling a new strategic plan in areas they feel need improvement.
