ISDH: 440 more COVID-19 cases, 49 more deaths

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — On Wednesday afternoon, the Indiana State Department of Health identified 440 more positive COVID-19 cases in Indiana. The state also said 49 more Hoosiers have died as a result of the virus.

Currently, Indiana has 8,955 COVID-19 cases with 436 total Hoosier deaths related to the virus.

Officials in Indiana are not yet providing information on recoveries. Dr. Kris Box recently said that information will be available as soon as medical codes are created that will offer COVID-19 recovery information, which the state does not currently have.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 1,999,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 500,000 recoveries and more than 128,000 deaths.
