ISDH: More than 400 new COVID-19 cases, 38 additional deaths

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Wednesday, the Indiana State Department of Health announced 409 more cases of COVID-19 and 38 more deaths.

There are a total of 25,473 cases of COVID-19 in Indiana resulting in 1,482 total deaths.

According to the department, 154,083 tests have been administered in the state.

Officials in Indiana are not yet providing information on recoveries. Dr. Box has said that information will be available as soon as medical codes are created that will offer COVID-19 recovery information, which the state does not currently have.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 4,290,00 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 1,500,000 recoveries and more than 293,000 deaths.

News conferences will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, going forward. If there is significant news that needs to be shared, and state officials will hold additional briefing as needed, Gov. Eric Holcomb said Monday afternoon.
