ISP recovers $3,000 worth of stolen items

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana State Police stopped a red Ford Focus Monday evening and found a variety of stolen items worth approximately $3,000.

According to Indiana State Police, a trooper pulled over Justin Keeny, 30, of Oklahoma City for driving left of the center line and for dark window tint. He was pulled over on eastbound Interstate 70 near the 36-mile marker.

State police say during a conversation, the trooper noticed something wasn’t right. After further investigation and search of the car, the trooper found a digital scale with methamphetamine, new power tools, electronics, video games, clothing items and a security tag removal tool.

State police believe the stolen items came from various department stores throughout the country and were going to be sold to various pawn shops. The approximate value of the recovered items is $3,000.

Keeny was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia and theft/possession of stolen property.
