(WFLA) – “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek has been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Trebek released a video on the “Jeopardy!” YouTube page on Wednesday, making the sad announcement.

“I’m going to fight this and I’m going to keep working,” Trebek says in the video.

“I plan to beat the low survival-rate statistics for this disease.”

Trebek joked that he has to beat the disease, as the terms of his contract say he has to host the show for three more years.
