KEDCO launches awards programs
WARSAW, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — The Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) has announced new awards programs to recognize leaders and businesses making an impact in the county. KEDCO will distribute the Rising Leader and Business Impact awards beginning this year.
“As we have worked over the last two-years to reset our economic development efforts, it has become clear that among the ‘well kept secrets’ are many of the individuals and businesses that are fueling our economy,” said KEDCO CEO Alan Tio, “We look forward to celebrating the awardees at the KEDCO annual meeting this fall.”
The Rising Leader award will be for local business owners under 40 years of age who are making a leadership impact on the community. The board of directors will identify and award 20 Rising Leaders this year. KEDCO will also commend local businesses who made community investments through new job creation, expansion projects or by making COVID-19-related investments with Business Impact awards.
“An important aspect of our mission at KEDCO is to highlight the great things our people and businesses are doing to contribute to our communities and local economy,” said Tio, “We need community members to help share those successes with us. We know people here have stories to tell, so let’s share those stories.”
Nominations for the awards may be submitted through KEDCO’s website, with a Sept. 30 deadline.
