Kokomo woman gets 2.5 years in federal prison for ‘animal crush’ videos

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — A Kokomo woman is headed to federal prison creating “animal crush” videos – videos depicting the violent deaths of animals.

Krystal Scott, 20, received a sentence of 30 months in the case.

She took a plea deal earlier this year, admitting to killing five dogs, five cats and 11 unborn kittens.

She was arrested and charged in 2020 after internet sleuths around the world helped bring attention to the violent posts on social media.

Investigators said she would acquire the animals from users on social media under false pretenses, then graphically torture and kill them on video.

Search warrants revealed Scott’s IP address, leading to an FBI raid.
