Lawrence teacher investigated for Facebook chatter
LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) – A Lawrence North High School teacher was placed on administrative leave after the school was approached about communication between the teacher and a student on Facebook.
Officials with MSD of Lawrence Township said a mother contacted the school Jan. 27 about her 15-year-old daughter and the male teacher communicating through Facebook.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and Child Protective Services are also involved in the case, according to school officials. An investigation by the school system is also ongoing.
School officials would not release the name of the teacher, pending the outcome of the investigation.
