24-year-old woman dies after hit by vehicle in Anderson

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — A 24-year-old woman hit by a vehicle in Anderson later died, police said Thursday night.
Anderson Police Department was called shortly before 10:20 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 800 block of West Vinyard Street. That’s in a residential area just east of Community Hospital Anderson off North Madison Avenue.
The woman, later identified as Chelsea Williams-Levell, 24, died at the hospital, police said in a news release.
“The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and has cooperated with the investigation. There are no charges at this time as the incident is still under investigation,” the release said.
