3 dead, 2 hurt in Fort Wayne Thanksgiving shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Members of the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 6100 block of Downingtown Drive around 10:25 p.m. Thursday on a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene to find five people had been shot. Four people were located inside the home and one person was found outside. 

Two male victims and a female victim were pronounced dead when medics arrived. Two male victims were taken to a hospital in critical condition. 

Detectives interviewed witnesses Thursday and spoke with residents in order to gather more information.

Police did not say what occurred prior to shots being fired. No information has been released with regard to a suspect. 

The victim’s identities will be released pending an autopsy.
