3 juveniles, 1 adult in custody following Zionsville traffic stop, search

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Four people – three juveniles and one adult – are in custody following an early Thursday morning traffic stop.

Police say both vehicles were stolen; one of out Marion County and the other out of Zionsville.

The city of Zionsville says that two people fled from a vehicle after it struck a tree with the other vehicle continue and then stopping as the driver exited and ran from the scene.

According to the Zionsville Police Department, officers attempted to pull over two vehicles after they left the Hunters Point Apartments in the area of Oak Street and Ford Road.

A perimeter was then set up to search for the suspects. 

Police observed one person coming out of the woods and attempting to get into a white Buick SUV. As officers tried to stop that vehicle, it struck a Whitestown police car. Both the driver and passenger – a black female and a black male – were taken into custody.

Soon after, police received a call about a suspicious person at a Speedway gas station at Oak Street and Ford Road. The black male did match a description of one of the occupants of the two vehicles.

Just before 10 a.m. Zionsville said that all four suspects had been taken into custody. 

Police say both vehicles involved in traffic stop, which have been recovered were stolen; one of out Marion County and the other out of Zionsville.
