Active school shooter training held at Clay Co. school

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville Post held an active school shooter training seminar Monday at Northview High School.

In a release from Clay County ISP, they said the seminar had an active shooter scenario. It provided attendees with proper tactics for survival during an active shooter situation.

They said the program is to educate school administrative personnel proper ways to handle an active shooter and how law enforcement handles active shooter situations.

ISP was assisted by Indiana Conservation Officers, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Brazil Police Department, Clay City Police and medical staff from Air Evac Life Team.

They said there was approximately 400 Clay Community School Corporation personnel who attended.
