American Heart Association releases new PSA to combat vaping
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – As of last week, the CDC reported more than 2,800 people have been hospitalized from vaping-related illnesses across the country.
Sixty-eight people have died, six of those were in Indiana.
The American Heart Association has released vaping numbers that show more than one in four high school students regularly use E-cigarettes. The numbers also show that the number of middle school users surged by 50%.
It’s because of those numbers that the AHA recently put out a brand new PSA.
Monte Curnutt, an AHA board member, stopped by Daybreak to talk about the organization’s new campaign and a few bills being considered right now in the Indiana Statehouse.
