App helps service industry workers during coronavirus pandemic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The creators of an Indianapolis-based app called Plug have changed the way they’re doing business in order to help people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

There is now an extension of the app called “Plug Eats.” It gives people in the service industry a chance to still work while bars and restaurants are closed.

Plug’s creators are working with local chefs and restaurants to prepare, package and deliver free meals to people across central Indiana.

All of the food has been donated and Plug’s founders are working to fundraise enough to keep the service running for at least a month.

Workers can sign up for delivery jobs through a partnership with DeliveryEnd.

If you’re looking for work or if you need access to free meals, you can find and fill out information here.

This is running as a non-profit which means donations and fundraising help is needed, if you want to help in that way click here
