Attorneys for AG Hill say accusations contain ‘false statements,’ preparing for defamation lawsuit

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill’s legal team says the accusations made against him contain “false statements.”

They are pointing out details on a leaked legislative memo that first brought to light allegations of misconduct.

News 8’s David Williams was at a press conference attorneys Kevin Betz and Sandra Blevins held Wednesday morning.

They say they’re gathering information and preparing for a defamation lawsuit against the person or people who wrote and leaked a confidential memo.

They point to statements made for example, one of of the witnesses allege Hill reached his hand up clothers and touched her buttocks.

The attorneys also question the fact-finding process itself for that memo. Betz argues the attorneys who put memo together allegedly said there wasn’t enough there to call Hill’s integrity into question.

Hill is accused of touching four women at a bar in Indianapolis during an end-of-session party in March.
