INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana hosted its statewide day of service in an effort to engage Bigs and Littles, Saturday.

Members got together at several Starbucks locations to create cards for police officers, firefighters and EMTs.

Saturday’s event was one that organizers say is both enjoyable and educational.

“It’s fun, it’s easy, it’s arts and crafts. Kids get to be a little creative, but it’s also a great way to learn about the importance of philanthropy and giving back,” said Bridget Feeney with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Big Brothers Big Sisters said they’re always looking for volunteers.
