Carmel Fire Department introduces bleeding control kits plan

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Carmel Fire Department has announced a new plan to save lives and increase public health and education.

The department shared its plan to introduce “bleeding control kits” at Monday night’s city council meeting.

Carmel firefighter Tim Griffin was on Daybreak Tuesday.

He discussed the bleeding control kits, how they are used and where people can get access to them.

Additionally, he talked about the origins of the program.
