CarmelFest continues with parade, fireworks
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — This year’s CarmelFest continues on Tuesday and will be packed full with a parade, a festival, and fireworks.
The parade, sponsored by Allied Solutions, starts at 10:30 a.m. and is themed “Hamilton County Bicentennial Celebration.”
Just before the parade, at 10:05 a.m., everyone gathered along the parade route will be asked to step into the road wearing red fire hats passed out by the Carmel Fire Department. The department hopes to break the world record for the most people wearing red fire hats at one time.
Some familiar faces with News 8, Lena Pringle and Scott Sanders, made a stylish appearance in the parade, as well.

There will be a reserved parking and viewing area near the southwest corner of Main Street and Rangeline Road.
The festival, sponsored by Merchants Bank of Indiana, begins at noon and ends at 10 p.m. It will have a beer and wine garden, a talent show, a kid zone, live music, artists, food, and drink.
The fireworks show, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carmel, begins at 9:45 p.m. and should be about 30 minutes.
The fireworks will be launched from the Carmel Ice Skadium.
