Celebrate Indianapolis’ inaugural Macaron Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Everybody loves cookies, right?

Well, Saturday, March 23 in Indianapolis is a perfect opportunity to pick up a cookie or two or three.

That’s because Indianapolis is celebrating National Macaron Day.

Nathan Sivitz with Macaron Bar stopped by Daybreak to talk about those delicious cookies.

Additionally, he discussed the history behind National Macaron Day, how to make them and how to properly pronounce the name of the cookie.

But, this day is more than just a free cookie. It’s also a chance for residents to do some good.

Money made at the bakeries Saturday will benefit the Crooked Creek Food Pantry in Pike Township. It serves more than a thousand families a month and is thrilled with the support.
