INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A popular Indianapolis attraction is closing its doors for two weeks due to the coronavirus.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis announced plans to temporarily close beginning Saturday, March 14 through March 28.

Also, the museum said all programs and events that were to take place during that two-week time period are postponed.

“While we have had no presumptive or confirmed cases of coronavirus at the Museum, we have made this decision out of an abundance of caution to protect the visitors, staff, volunteers, and the community at large, whose safety and well-being are our top priorities,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “Health and safety is our top priority in everything we do.”

The museum said they will re-evaluate the situation after March 28.
