Colts set to take field Thursday for first practice of training camp

WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) – On Wednesday, Colts fans visited Grand Park in Westfield as the team reported for training camp. On Thursday, fans will get to see players on the fields, practicing at 1:30 p.m. Practice is scheduled to last until 3:30 p.m.

Colts City, which opened Wednesday night, will be open once again at noon Thursday. This year’s Colts City features a Play 60 Zone, the team’s traveling museum, a Colts Pro Shop and a Colts 50/50 raffle everyday with 50 percent of the net proceeds supporting the work of the Indianapolis Colts Foundation in the community.

Colts City, which looks like a bunch of tents, is just a short walking distance from the fields where practice is held. If you’re worried about traffic, don’t be. The complex can host big numbers. In fact, Grand Park will have a few tournaments going on while the team prepares for the season. Sometimes the facility has 6,000 daily visitors. Grand Park is 400 acres, so you will need need to know where you’re going.

Lastly, tickets to Colts training camp are really easy to get. They can be downloaded to your phone. They are free but you do have to have one for every kid and adult.
