DuJuan McCoy discusses AT&T U-verse/DirecTV on ‘Hammer & Nigel’

WISH-TV owner DuJuan McCoy talks ATT/DirecTV situation

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — DuJuan McCoy, owner, president and CEO of Circle City Broadcasting and owner of WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23, joined “Hammer & Nigel” on Monday afternoon at WIBC’s studios to discuss the ATT/DirecTV situation.

Customers of U-Verse and DirecTV, both owned by AT&T, are currently without WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23.

Since a deal was not reached by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, our channels were pulled from the services.

On Monday, McCoy explained the rebroadcast negotiations to Jason Hammer and Nigel Laskowski, including that he had provided four extensions to ATT/DirecTV, while the company continued to ask McCoy to provide our programming for free, while they were seemingly eager to pay the previous owners significant fees.

Watch the video to hear what McCoy had to say about our locally owned and operated stations and what he sees as an unfair business practice and blatant discrimination against small business owners.

Circle City Broadcasting has reached fair market agreements with every other cable operator in our viewing area.

If you are a DISH Network customer, you should have been refunded the fees for the programming on WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23, which you haven’t received for several months now. If you need to reach DISH Network, contact Senior Vice President of Programming Andy LeCuyer at 303-723-1000.

If you are a DirecTV customer, you should demand repayment of fees immediately.
