Ella Whistler sings, performs with Colts Cheerleaders at game

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 13-year-old girl who was shot seven times in a May 25 shooting at Noblesville West Middle School served as honorary captain of the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders on Sunday afternoon.

Ella Whistler was the coin toss captain and represented Noblesville West’s cheer and dance teams on Sunday as the Colts played the Miami Dolphins. She also sang with the Noblesville West Middle School show choir.

The Indianapolis Colts tweeted about Whistler’s performance Sunday, calling her “strong.”

The Colts Cheerleaders also posted about her “special performance.”

Whistler also joined the cheerleaders to throw keepsakes into Sunday’s crowd in the stands at Lucas Oil Stadium.
