Faith leaders voice support for mass transit expansion

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Faith leaders across Indianapolis came together Thursday evening to support mass transit.

Marion County voters will decide whether mass transit will be expanded when they head to the polls in November.

Volunteers reached out via phone Thursday to speak with potential voters and convince them to vote yes.

Organizers say their goal is to have 80,000 conversations over the next few months.

Proponents say more mass transit will make Indianapolis a place where everyone can succeed.

More than 60 organizations are participating in the effort.
