KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) – Those looking to put a little extra cash in their pocket may be in luck.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic many factories have changed up production, creating products in order to help with the health crisis.

One of those plants helping with the pandemic is the GM factory in Kokomo and now they are hiring additional workers to help in production of ventilators.

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, General Motors, with help from Ivy Tech, is looking to hire 1,000 full and part-time temporary employees.

The employees will help in the production of ventilators. The department says the plant has a goal of producing 30,000 ventilators by August.

A virtual job fair will be held on May 6. For more information, click here.
