Great Day TV: National Suicide Awareness Month

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The host of Great Day TV is back with another timely topic.

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Patty Spitler stopped by Midday with her guest, friend Shannon Cagle Dawson. Dawson’s husband, Rick, committed suicide about eight years ago.

Dawson was an investigative reporter for WISH-TV. The two met at WISH-TV.

Cagle Dawson shared what she’s learned over the years about ways others can help prevent suicide. Additionally, she talked about some of the circumstances that could put someone in a fragile state of mind.

Also, they mentioned some of the places to reach out to for help.
