Greenwood investigates 2nd train crash with vehicle

GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — For the second time Monday, police are investigating a train-vehicle crash.

The latest incident happened before 4 p.m. on County Line Road east of Madison Avenue. Greenwood Police Department alerted motorists on Twitter to avoid travel between Madison Avenue and Meridian Street while they crash is being cleared. The road reopened about 6:45 p.m.

There was no immediate word from Greenwood police on any injuries in the second crash.

Earlier Monday in the area of East Worthsville Road, Stop 18 Road and Pushville Road, a train blocked both intersections following a crash with a vehicle. The injuries that resulted in the crash were reported to be minor. That crash occurred around noon and was cleared by 3 p.m.
