Hot Rod Power Tour stops in central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Thousands of classic cars invaded Lucas Oil Raceway on Wednesday.

The Hot Rod Power Tour made a stop in Indianapolis. The event features more than 6,000 cars, making it the largest hot rod road trip in the world.

Classic cars and hot rods have been traveling city to city more than 1,300 miles.

The annual event attracts people from around the world to see the country, check out awesome cars and meet other car enthusiasts.

“The fellowship is phenomenal,” said Glen Fiorello, who participated in this year’s tour. “A lot of the guys that dye their hair this color gray mine, we grew up with these cars. We can relate to these cars. But then on the other side of the spectrum, someone may have a Volkswagen with one custom hubcap on it, fuzzy dice and they think the world of it. We all think the vehicle we rode to get here is the best in the whole place.”

The Hot Rod Power Tour moves on to Fort Wayne on Thursday.
