I-74 traffic diverted near Ronald Reagan Parkway due to fatal crash
HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A fatal crash has been reported on Interstate 74 in Hendricks County.
The crash occurred on I-74 near mile marker 68.4 near the Ronald Reagan Parkway just before 6 p.m. Thursday.
Indiana State Police said that two vehicles, a 2004 Jeep and a 2013 Kia Optima, were involved in the crash.
According to investigators, the driver of the Jeep lost control as lanes were reduced from two lanes to one prior to a construction zone.
ISP said the driver of the driver of the Jeep was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected in the crash.
The driver of the Jeep has been identified as 55-year-old Brownsburg resident Scott Bennett.
The driver and passengers of the Kia were not injured.
