INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Animal Care Services says a dog owner let his pet freeze to death, then threw the dog’s body in the dumpster.
IACS detailed the ordeal in a Facebook post.
IACS said the dog was left out overnight in a wooden doghouse with only a towel to block the cold air.
After IACS made the post, the organization followed up with a comment that said, “An investigation is underway and it could result in possible criminal charges.”
IACS asks that if you see a pet left in the cold, call the Mayor’s Action Center at 317-327-4622. If you are calling outside of regular business hours, please call 317-327-3811.
