IMPD: 2 in custody after near northeast side abduction, home invasion

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man has been found safe after being abducted on the near northeast side Tuesday morning.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was investigating after a Tuesday morning abduction and home invasion.

According to IMPD, officers were called to a residence in the 3200 block of Schofield Avenue just after 4 a.m.

People in the home at the time tell police multiple individuals –  some of whom were armed – entered the home. They proceeded to take several objects from house. 

Police say that as they were leaving, they took one of the people from the house, Nathanial Smith and his black Kia Soul. Smith was found safe just before 8 a.m., according to police.

Police later arrested 21-year-old Actshiona Davis and 65-year-old Willard Wilson. They face preliminary charges of robbery, kidnapping, criminal confinement and burglary.

Keystone Avenue was closed in both directions while the investigation took place.
