IMPD seeks help to find missing 66-year-old man with dementia

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police are seeking help to find a missing 66-year-old man with moderate to severe dementia.

Grady Elder was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Sunday at his home in the Heron Lake Condominium apartments, just southwest of 56th Street and Allisonville Road on the city’s northeast side. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department issued the missing person alert shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.

Elder was described as being from 5-feet-11 to 6 feet and from 210 to 220 pounds with brown eyes, gray hair and a gray beard. He was wearing a white hat, a gold long-sleeved sweater, white pants, and tan shoes with white soles.

He is known to walk around his apartment complex.

Anyone with information about Elder was asked to call his wife, Robin Elder, at 317-251-1884, and advise the IMPD missing persons unit at 317-327-6160.
