INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — In-person First Fridays will return April 2 to the Circle City Industrial Complex (CCIC).

“With the easing of restrictions in Marion County, we are excited to welcome the public back to the CCIC for an in-person First Friday event,” said Rachel Ferguson, vice president of Teagen Development. “So many of our tenants have expressed how much they have missed this opportunity to connect with our community. In accordance with local mandates, our guests and artists are still required to wear masks while indoors, but with 500,000+ square feet to maintain social distance, and plenty of art and non-art attractions, we’re looking forward to a fun, safe event.”

CCIC said artists and galleries will open their doors during the evening according to their own schedules and comfort levels.

CCIC had briefly resumed indoor-outdoor First Fridays during summer and fall, but then switched to a virtual format during the winter.

“The energy at the CCIC during a First Friday event is unlike anything else we get to experience throughout the month. It’s rewarding and invigorating to welcome the public in to enjoy all the cool things our CCIC community has to offer. While I’ve been really inspired by how our tenants have figured out ways to adapt during the shutdown months, I’m looking forward to the return of in-person First Fridays which, for me, have always been a powerful reminder of why we’ve worked so hard to build this space for artists and small businesses,” Ferguson said.

Visitors of CCIC are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
