Indiana National Guard, INDOT and ISP to help get supplies to hospitals

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indiana National Guard is working with other state agencies on Wednesday to deliver medical supplies to hospitals across the state.

The Indiana Department of Transportation and Indiana State Police will assist the national guard at Stout Field Wednesday morning.

State Health Commissioner Dr. Kris Box said the state received at least four trucks of face masks, faces shields, gowns and other personal protective equipment.

Box said the state is still working to figure out how long these supplies will last.

Gov. Eric Holcomb said so far more than 136 companies have been cleared to help. This includes RV and auto manufacturers.

More than 1,000 other businesses and economic development agencies have been approached to step in as well.
