Indiana State Fair opens after weather delay
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The 2023 Indiana State Fair got underway at 11 a.m. Friday, two hours after rain put a damper on the first day of the event.
Severe weather forced officials to close the gates at 8:45 a.m., just 15 minutes before the fair was scheduled to begin.
People near the fairgrounds were advised to seek shelter during the storm but no injuries were reported.
