Indianapolis Police investigating fifth fatal shooting in five days
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –When IMPD officers arrived at a west side shooting scene on Sunday afternoon, they were told that an adult female had been shot at that location and taken by her friends to Eskenazi Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Indianapolis Police have said that they are investigating Sunday afternoon’s shooting as a homicide and they ask that anyone with information about her death to call police at 317-327-3475.
Another person died on Saturday after a man was shot and killed in the 1500 block of East Minnesota St. on the east side.
Police say the shooting streak began when a woman was shot to death on Wednesday while sitting inside a running car at a northside apartment complex.
Sunday’s fatal shooting marks the fifth fatal shooting in Indianapolis in five days.
