Indianapolis Zoo’s 52-year-old African elephant dies
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Zoo says an elephant has passed away.
Sophi, an African elephant matriach, has died, according to Indianapolis Zoo officials.
“She was a majestic elephant who was loved by our herd, staff, volunteers and generations of Hoosiers,” the zoo tweeted.
Sophi was 52.
