Security increased at Indianapolis Public Schools’ Christian Park School 82

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Public Schools police are investigating a potential threat made against Christian Park School 82.

IPS confirmed on Sunday night that school police were working with local law enforcement and conducting a full investigation of the potential threat, which was posted on social media. Parents were also sent a letter about the threat, IPS said.

IPS Police will have a presence at the K-6 school throughout the day on Monday, the district confirmed.

No other information about the threat was immediately available, and IPS did not say whether anyone was in custody in connection to the threat.

News 8 on Sunday night reached out to Indianapolis metropolitan police for information.

Indianapolis Public Schools is aware of a potential threat made against Christian ParkSchool 82 posted on social media. IPS Police, working in collaboration with local law enforcement, is conducting a full investigation. The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority. As an extra precaution, IPS Police will have a presence at the school throughout the day on Monday.
