Journey to play at Miller Lite Carb Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced some big news for rock and roll fans on Tuesday.

During the Indy 500’s 100th run of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, Journey will play on Miller Lite Carb Day with special guest Neal “Vortex” Schon.

Journey will welcome back drummer Steve Smith, who will make his first appearance with band members Ross Valory, Jonathan Cain and Arnel Pineda since 1998.

General admission tickets are already on sale. They are selling for $30. For fans wanting closer access you can spend $40. VIP packages will be announced at a later time.

Carb Day will feature events on and off the track.

“The 100th Running weekend will be an unprecedented celebration at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Journey is the first piece of the tremendous entertainment that will be offered,” said J. Douglas Boles, Indianapolis Motor Speedway president.
