INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The refurbished Kelly Park was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday.
The ribbon cutting comes after a $1 million investment from the Lift Indy Initiative. It’s part of funding the Old Southside has received as the city’s second Lift Indy neighborhood.
“We have never lost sight of the families and the institutions that make up our the core of our neighborhood,” Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said at the ribbon cutting.
Outside the park, funds are going toward affordable single-family homes, essential home repairs and improvements to the Meridian Street Streetscape.
