Lawn at White River State Park to get upgrades for 2019, others delayed until 2020

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Lawn at White River is getting some upgrades for the 2019 concert season. However, others will be delayed until 2020, according to White River State Park.

Upgrades to the concert venue have been divided into two phases. The first phase of the improvement project, which will be completed in time for concert season in 2019, includes new restrooms on the north side of the facility.

The second phase, which will be much more extensive, will be finished in 2020. Part two includes turning the temporary stage into a permanent open-air amphitheater with fix seating. Additionally, there were will a VIP lounge, a canopy-covered seating area, artist amenities and other additional various improvements.

According to the park, the delay is because bids of the new stage were over budget.
