Loogootee woman killed in Daviess County crash
ODON, Ind. (WISH) — A crash involving a semi and a vehicle in Daviess County Wednesday morning has left a Loogootee woman dead.
Authorities were called to the area of US 231 and Deerield Drive near Odon on reports of a crash just after 8 a.m.
According to police, Brenda Fields, 64, of Loogootee, was driving her vehicle when she struck a semi. The vehicle went off the roadway, flipped and landed on its roof.
Fields was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, Hector Fajardo, 45, of Indianapolis, was not injured.
The roadway was closed for a period of time Wednesday morning as investigators responded to the scene.
